Juniors: Here's an easy way for you to jump-start a college search and apply for a scholarship. Simply create a profile on CollegeWeekLive and browse schools to enter the monthly scholarship drawing. It's that easy.
Don't forget – the biggest online college fair of the year is on March 30th. Any student with a profile on CollegeWeekLive will be able to ask questions in live online chats with schools of choice. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day and you will be able to enter the $1,000 scholarship drawing when you visit five school pages on the event day.

About 300 Cabrillo students are exploring ways to make the community environmentally sustainable and preparing to share what they learned at a youth summit later in the month. Students ranging from freshmen to seniors approached teachers about researching ways to stretch water supplies in drought-prone Southern California and to combat climate change locally. “The project is basically student driven,” said Ms. Shoop, English teacher at Cabrillo who has helped with the project.

Congratulations to Cabrillo’s JROTC Cadets for winning the 2016-2017 Long Beach School District All City Drill & Athletic Competition. Our Jags won 1st place in 12 of 13 events. This will be the 8th year in a row that Cabrillo has won 1st place overall. Go Jags Go!!! Trophies are on display in building 100


Prom is Saturday, May 20 at 8 pm at the Hilton in downtown Long Beach. Come hungry! A dinner buffet is included. Come by the ASB and see Adrian, David and Keke about Prom-Posals on the rally stage.


Prom Court applications are due on Friday, March 31st. There is a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, April 4th during lunch.


Grad Night is on Wednesday, June 14. We've only ordered 550 tickets.  First come; first served. You’re welcome to bring more than one guest.


Seniors: The biggest virtual college fair of the spring is on March 30th. If you are in the college application process, here is some  help to wrap your mind around it. Open the attachment to sign up for these great live video webcasts.

Students: If you are interested in the automotive field there is an excellent program being offered by the Explorer program. The deadline to apply is March 28th and a representative from the program will be in the center quad at lunch on TUESDAY, March 21. See attachment for more information.
We are looking for awesome speeches, National Anthem singers, and those who want to MC.  Attached are the application and rubric.  Applications are due Friday, April 7th in the ASB room by 3:10 pm. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 25th at 3:10 pm in the ASB room.  Good luck to all.

Cabrillo and Jordan WRAP Programs will be hosting a College and Career Fair, on Saturday, April 8, from 10am-2pm, at Admiral Kidd Park. Students come and take advantage of the information shared by colleges, universities, and youth employment resources. The Fair will also include performances from Cabrillo and Jordan student groups, free backpacks/school supplies for the first 100 students registered, and drawings for free prizes. Students, upon check-in at the Fair, you will receive a “Passport”. The “Passport” should be signed by a representative at each booth and returned to your teacher.
