We are hosting Long Beach Poly this Friday at 7 pm at Jaguar Stadium. It is also Yellow Night, so wear your yellow! Your ASB sticker gets you into the game for free. If not, $3 pre-sale. We need and want every Jaguar there!


Homecoming is on Friday, October 21st; The theme is 1990s. Homecoming Court applicants: There is a mandatory meeting set for Monday, October 3 during lunch. Homecoming Court will also be part of the Fall School-Wide Pep Rally on Friday, October 14. Good luck to all. If you want to perform during the faire, please, sign-up with the homecoming committee.


Seniors, please read if you have yet to take your Senior Portrait.

In order for your portrait to be included in this year's yearbook, it needs to be taken by October 27th. Here's how:

  • Lifetouch Studios will be on campus on Tuesday October 25, 26, and 27 between 2:40 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in room 701. You do not need to schedule an appointment. You only need to show up with your hair done.
  • Cap/gown, formal tux/dress tops will be provided.
  • For placement in the yearbook only, there is a flat sitting fee of $15 (the same district-wide) and a $25 REFUNDABLE proof deposit (after receiving proofs in the mail, choose the one you want then SEND BACK all the proofs to get your $25 deposit back).
  • Various photo poses/packages can be purchased for additional charges.

The annual CSF community service campaign is back! This campaign is solely for collecting donations to buy a goat for needy families in third-world countries. These goats will provide milk, not only for food, but also for selling. You can make a donation through your 4th period teacher or Ms. Romero. WRAP will be attending the African-American College & Career Summit at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday, October 8th. If you are interested in attending, please, come to the WRAP room (1603) or the Career Center to pick up a permission slip. Don't miss out on this fun event. There are limited spots so sign up soon!


Girls! Girls! Girls!  Do you need 10 credits?  Female Leadership Academy is offering a class after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3 to 4:15pm. This is an A-G class.  For more information, please, see Ms. James in room 413.  Hurry up before all the spots are gone!


The Career College Exploration Night at CSULB is on November 2nd from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event is open to all high school students and parents. Take this opportunity to meet with representatives from:

  • Trade and Apprenticeship Organizations
  • Public Agencies and Non-Profits
  • Technical and Trade Schools
  • Military Recruiters

The event is held at The CSULB Walter Pyramid (on Atherton Street between Bellflower and Palo Verde)

There is Free Parking in Lots 13 and 14.

Congratulations to our Jags, champions of the El Rancho Water Polo Tournament last weekend. Our boys beat La Canada 7-4 in the final round and outscored and shut down opponents by scoring 46 to 15 goal aggregate. Go Jags...
