WRAP would like to invite you to the Mini Halloween Carnival this Friday October 28th after school from 3:00pm to 5:00pm in the main quad. Drop by and enter the Pumpkin Carving Contest:

First prize winner will get a Gift card with a candy bucket.

The "Winter in Paris" - Cabrillo High School's Winter Formal Dance for all students is at the Long Beach Westin on 333 E. Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach on Saturday, December 17th from 8:00 PM - 12 Midnight. Every student needs a separate contract signed by a parent and/or guardian. Tickets are sold at the Banker's office. Open the attachment for the Winter Formal Policies and Contract.


Cabrillo High School's 2017 Miss & Mr. Jaguar Pageant application is due on  Friday, November 18th, on or before 3:10 pm in the ASB Room (307). No late applications are accepted.
The Miss and Mr. Jaguar pageant is for members of the Class of 2017 only. See attachment for Application, Contract, Consent Form, Pageant Rules and Schedule/Calendar.


Students: If you are interested in applying for the Winter Formal Court, please complete the attached application and return it to the Activity Center no later than 3:10 p.m. on Friday, November 18. You must have at least a 2.5 GPA at the first progress report to be eligible. If your application is accepted, please plan to attend a Mandatory Meeting on Tuesday, November 29th at 3:10pm in Room 307.

All girls who can swim a few laps are welcome to tryout for our Jaguar water polo team. It's anchored with our All League goalie- Lian Lumada. Make the team and get a locker in our NCAA team rooms and enjoy the benefits of quality team apparel, and water work--playing the toughest sport in the world. Friday Oct.28th and next friday Nov. 4 after school.  Athletes from Fall sports welcome.

Seniors: If you have not taken your senior portrait yet and want to...This week is the last opportunity you’ll have to get it done and still be featured in the yearbook. Senior Portrait makeups are happening on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00PM to 8:00PM in Room 701. If you received an appointment in the mail, but can’t make that time or did not receive one in the mail, don’t worry. If you show up between 2:00 and 8:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday this week, Lifetouch will take your portrait. There is a $15.00 sitting fee. Additionally, there is a $25 deposit THAT WILL BE RETURNED. Once you receive your proofs in the mail, choose the one you want in the yearbook and mail it back to Lifetouch.

Cabrillo High School and the Long Beach Unified School District proudly Present Band Spectacular 2016 on November 15 at the Cabrillo Stadium on 2001 Santa Fe Ave. in  Long Beach.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and tickets cost only $5.00 each.
Come and support: Cabrillo, Poly, Wilson, Lakewood, Millikan and Jordan HS band, dance and drill teams performing their half-time shows. Special guest performers: LBCC Viking Showband and The Cabrillo Panjammas Steel Drum Band.


Cabrillo Students, Faculty and Staff:
Cabrillo Social Work Department in collaboration with Cabrillo CSF, ASB and WRAP programs invite all SLC’s to unite efforts for the “2016 Thanksgiving Food Drive”. Every year we identify students & their families in extreme financial hardship and provide them with a food basket. Your support in this year’s event is greatly appreciated. We welcome canned food and wrapped items. These items include but are not limited to: corn, mixed vegetables, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, apple sauce, fruit, beans, tuna, spaghetti, or any food that doesn’t require refrigeration (bread, cereal, pancake mix, pasta, instant mashed potato, etc).

Please bring your donated cans or items to Room 1424 beginning Monday October 10, 2016. Deadline is Wednesday, November 16, 2016, or you may arrange for ASB students to collect them during 4th period.

Open to current LA County high school sophomores and juniors, this opportunity sends students on an all-expenses-paid Earthwatch expedition over the summer to conduct hands-on scientific research in the field at a variety of locations throughout the country. 
The fellowship looks for students with energy, creativity, and a passion to learn, and is not based on academic performance (grades, GPA, test scores, etc.).

Applications are due by December 1st.
