College and Career Center News

Juniors: Here's an easy way for you to jump-start a college search and apply for a scholarship. Simply create a profile on CollegeWeekLive and browse schools to enter the monthly scholarship drawing. It's that easy.
Don't forget – the biggest online college fair of the year is on March 30th. Any student with a profile on CollegeWeekLive will be able to ask questions in live online chats with schools of choice. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day and you will be able to enter the $1,000 scholarship drawing when you visit five school pages on the event day.

About 300 Cabrillo students are exploring ways to make the community environmentally sustainable and preparing to share what they learned at a youth summit later in the month. Students ranging from freshmen to seniors approached teachers about researching ways to stretch water supplies in drought-prone Southern California and to combat climate change locally. “The project is basically student driven,” said Ms. Shoop, English teacher at Cabrillo who has helped with the project.
