Calling all Jags….Do you like the UFC? Do you want to get in shape, and learn how to defend yourself at the same time? Come out and join the Cabrillo Wrestling Team. Boys and girls are welcome. Come to the Student Store and talk to Coach Matt if you’re interested. See you soon.


Seniors Graduation is on Tuesday, June 13th at 5 pm at Jaguar Stadium. You are now welcome to buy extra graduation tickets at the banker’s window. Tickets cost $5.- per ticket, admitting one person per ticket.


The Luau School Dance is on Friday, May 5th from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Location: Main Quad/Rally Stage. Luau School Dance Tickets cost:

  • $5 With a weighted 4.0 GPA from 16 -17 Fall Semester
  • $7 With ASB Sticker
  • $9 Pre-Sale
  • $15 @ the Door

Summer school starts on Monday, June 26th and ends on Friday, July 28th. The 4th of July holiday will be observed on Tuesday, July 4th. There will be classes held on Monday, July 3rd. Students are expected to be in class on Monday, July 3rd. Summer School Applications are available online through the district website at The deadline to complete the online registration application will be May 14th at 5pm. See attachment and contact your counselor for more information.


All 9th through 12th grade students who are interested in taking Summer School classes to make up a grade to meet graduation requirements or to fulfill college entrance requirements must register using our online enrollment system.  The online registration system is open and will continue untill May 14 at 5 p.m. Current 8th through 11th graders also have the opportunity to take a Math Summer Bridge course to help prepare them for the course work that they will be studying in the coming school year. These courses include Pre-Algebra, Pre-Geometry and Pre-Intermediate Algebra.  These courses will be taken for elective credit and the grade issued will be a Pass/No Credit.  This is an excellent opportunity to get a jump start for next year. 

Summer School Registration will begin by completing the application online at  After the application is submitted, the student and parent will receive an email with directions for selecting the classes that you plan to take during the summer. You should receive this email two to three schooldays after the application is submitted.


After Spring break, the City of Long Beach will implement a 2-hour parking ordinance along Willard Street. In addition to the 2-hour parking ordinance on Willard Street, you may also be cited for parking more than one (1) hour at the visitor parking spaces. Please, make the necessary accommodations to avoid possible citations from the City of Long Beach.


Students: If you bring a skateboard to school, you must check-in and leave your skateboard at the 500 or 1000 building. The other option is to lock it up at the skateboard rack on the north side of the big gym.


The Larry H. Parker Scholarship has been extended to May 1st. Seniors you still have a chance to receive $1000.00 in scholarship money.

Unsigned Seniors, Underclassmen and Junior College Athletes, the Historically Black Colleges and Universities are having a showcase on April 29th and 30th at Lynwood High School on 4050 Imperial Hwy. in Lynwood. Reserve your spot at See attachment for more information.
