Voting Town Hall on December 3rd

Thirteen Cabrillo teachers will be participating in a Voting Town Hall on Thursday, Dec. 3rd, during periods 1, 2, 3 and 4. Participating students must take their pink slips to these teachers on Monday Nov. 30th upon return from break. Students who have a test or lab that day do not need to attend the Town Hall during those periods. Email reminders will be sent to all during the week of the Town Hall. On behalf of the 13 teachers and all students participating, thank you for supporting the growth of Civics, Collaborative Conversations and Cross Curriculum Activities on our campus.

Senior Quote and Baby Picture in Yearbook

Seniors, get your Senior Quote and Baby Picture in the Yearbook.  It's cheap to do and lasts forever. Find the yearbook table at lunch in the quad on Tuesdays and Fridays for information or ask a yearbook staff member.

Early-Out Policy

Students: If at any time of the school year you need to leave early, please bring your note from your parent(s) to the attendance window before school starts. It will be verified, and you can pick up your early out during nutrition. This will avoid being late to your appointment.


Class of 2016 sweatshirts are in. If you bought the senior spirit packet already, you may pick up your sweatshirts at the banker’s window. Get them while supplies last.

Senior Reminder: Deadline to Apply to CSU and UC

The deadline to apply to CSU's and UC's is Monday, November 30th.
Don't wait until it's too late. The system has been known to crash on the last day due to the high volume of last minute seniors. Apply no later than November 19th. Need help? Sign up in the College and Career Center today.

Free Microsoft Office Professional Plus for all LBUSD Employees and Students

The Long Beach Unified School District is pleased to announce that all of the students, teachers and staff in the District are eligible to download and install Microsoft Office Professional Plus for free on as many as ten personal devices (PC, Mac, Tablet, phone or mobile). This opportunity is provided by the District at no cost as part of the District's move to "The Cloud".

Microsoft Office Professional Plus includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access and Publisher.

To enroll to receive Microsoft Office Professional Plus on your personal or home computer:

1. Go to the myLBUSD portal ( and sign in with your user name and password

2. Click on "Applications"

3. Click on the "Get Microsoft Office @ Home" tile and follow the instructions.

You may register for this service at any time. It is open to all active employees and students. Once you have registered, you can return to your Office 365 account at any time by going to .You must use this link only.

Do NOT attempt to download and install Microsoft Office on district computers, laptops or tablets. Microsoft @ Home licenses are for use on your personal computers, laptops, tablets (iPads) and phones.

The Application Lab is Open and Available

The Application lab is now available for students to receive one on one help with college applications and SAT/ACT registration. The lab is available from Monday through Friday after school until 4PM in the College and Career Center.

Seniors with college applications and Juniors with SAT Prep registration are encouraged to come. Sophomores and freshmen are also invited to come explore college options.
