College Information for Parent & Students

A panel of former Cabrillo students who are now attending college, and their parents, will talk about making the adjustment to college and answer questions about their "college journey", the concerns of both parents and students, orientation programs, housing, eating, health supports, and "letting them go".  This is a very exciting, but scary time, so the more information parents and students can have, the better.

We strongly encourage parents of 9th and 10th grade students to attend!  No reservation needed.

When: Thursday, March 26, 6:00 pm  or  Saturday, March 28, 10:00 am in the Cabrillo Library

Ms. Robyn Archer and Mr. Carlos Gershwin-Razo

No individual fundraising on campus

Individual staff or students may not conduct their own fundraising on campus for their own personal account.  State law prohibits any solicitation-sales or other requests for money-of students on campus except by district-controlled programs, such as the Cafeteria, Student Store, Student Clubs, Parent Booster Clubs, or other board-approved groups. Individual students, teachers and other employees do not fall into these categories. Additionally, an individual's fundraising would be taxable income to that individual, reportable to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Franchise Tax Board.  Student body groups may participate in the District's special income tax exempt status, but individuals may not.

Annual Olive Garden Pasta for Pennies Leukemia and Lymphoma fund-raising campaign
It is once again time for the Annual Olive Garden Pasta for Pennies Leukemia and Lymphoma fund-raising campaign.  Over the past few years Cabrillo has contributed a total of $10,456.57!  Thank you for all of your support and hard work in taking on the challenge of helping find the cure and support of children and adults with blood cancers.
Today, our school joins 27,000 schools nationwide in the Pasta for Pennies program.  For the next few weeks, we will help people who are sick with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.  All you have to do is collect coins and others donations and put them in your classroom's collection box.

Remember that every penny counts! Our school goal is to raise $2,000.
The Pennies boxes are in  your classrooms along with a Team Goal Sheet.
Once again, thank you for all of your support and cooperation in this very important endeavor.  LLS thanks you in advance and for past contributions.
The Pasta for Pennies Campaign is scheduled for a 3 week period to conclude at the end of this month
