University Library High School Outreach Program

CSULB library services available for area high school students

CSULB's University library is a community resource and high school students (Juniors and Seniors) from LBUSD (Long Beach Unified School District),  LAUSD (Los Alamitos Unified School District), and OCSA (Orange County School of the Arts) can use this library.

The website states:

"As a high school participant, students may:

  • Check out up to 10 books at one time
  • Loan Periods are generally for 21 days
  • Books may be renewed up to four times (if there's no recall)
  • Items can be renewed in person or electronically through COAST, the Library's online catalog
  • Use the Spidell Computer lab with a 90 minute Guest Pass available at the Circulation Desk
  • Access from home COAST, the University Library online catalog
  • Access from home the University Library Home Page
  • Access from home to Research Guides (orientation to resources on a wide variety of topics)"
