FBI Westwood Teen Academy 2019

The FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office will start accepting applications for the 2019 Westwood Teen Academy through June 21st, which will be held at the FBI Los Angeles Field Office, 11000 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, California, 90024, on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019

The Teen Academy offers insight into a number of topics and specialties, including:

  • The FBI’s role domestically and overseas
  • The diverse set of criminal violations investigated by the FBI;
  • Career opportunities with the Bureau.

Additionally, students receive technical briefings on cyber security and the importance of making good choices when using online communication platforms. Participants enjoy numerous hands-on experiences involving specialized areas within the FBI, such as the Evidence Response Team, and our firearms Instructor. Students will graduate from the academy more aware of the challenges facing their communities and better prepared to mentor their peers.


 Current high school students between 15 to 18 years of age, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and residing in the Los Angeles Field Office area are welcome to apply. Space is limited to 60 students and acceptance is not guaranteed. The application can be found on the link below.

Students will be evaluated based on their essay and application, with special emphasis on GPA, school activities, and community involvement. The program is not exclusive to students only interested in Criminal Justice or STEM Careers. Punctuality, professional behavior, and appropriate dress code will be required of all students attending this program.
