Senior Prom - A Night under the Stars” - Saturday, May 18th

  • Time: 8:00 pm to 12:00 am
  • Location: Long Beach Hilton - 701 W Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90831
  • Final graduated price: $115.- ($130.- at the door)

You will not be allowed to attend the dance if you have not cleared your fines.

Senior Clearance Day - Tuesday, June 4th

  • This is the last day to clear your ASB fines, Library fines, Cafeteria fines and/or Book fines. Please go to the banker in the morning, nutrition, or after school. (Make sure to have all of your old textbooks turned in to the book room, no later than June 7th (Students will come with their classes to turn in current books after finals)

Senior Awards Night - Thursday, June 6th

  • Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm
  • Location: Cabrillo Auditorium
  • Detailed information will be sent out via school loop and Social Media.

Yearbook Distribution – Thursday, June 6th

  • See Mr. Itson or Mr. Jacobs for details.

Grad Night @ Universal Studios – Friday, June 7th.

  • Time: Check-in 2:00 pm at Cabrillo
  • Return to Cabrillo from Universal Studios @ approx. 4:00 am
  • See Grad Night Info below in this packet.

Graduation Week - Monday, June 10th - Thursday, June 13th. Distribution Day - Monday, June 10th

  • Details: Students will be sent appointment times in late May via School Loop. Seniors will meet in the Auditorium and will pick up all purchased items, such as Graduation Gowns, Stoles, Medallions, 4 (four) graduation tickets, etc. You will also have the opportunity to purchase your gown if you have not done so already. Ms. Moreland and Mr. Itson will go over details for upcoming events, graduation ceremony, rules, and regulations. (This will be the last time to clear any fines. Purchased items will not be released until ALL fines are cleared).

Senior Breakfast/Garfield Walk - Tuesday, June 11th from 8:30am to 9:30am

  • Location: Lunch Benches
  • Breakfast: 8:30am to 9:30am
  • Walk the Halls of Garfield in Cap and Gown (tbd- info will be distributed via School Loop and Social Media)

Senior Picnic – Wednesday June 12th from 9:00am - 1:00pm

  • Location: Grass field behind Tennis Courts.
  • Food trucks, live DJ, inflatables, lawn games, and other activities.

Morning Graduation Rehearsal - Thursday, June13th @ 8:30am

  • Mandatory rehearsal for graduation. Meet in the big gym at 8:30am. We will run through the entire graduation process so that you are prepared for the evening festivities.

Cabrillo Class of 2019 Graduation Ceremony – Thursday, June 13th @ 5:30pm.

  • Location: Jaguar Stadium (This is a ticketed event)
  • Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm

                            Important Information:

  • Each graduate will be provided 4 complimentary tickets during distribution day, and may purchase up to 4 more at $10.00 each (children under 5 are free). Families may start purchasing tickets from the Banker’s office on Monday, June 3rd until Wednesday, June 12th at 3:30 pm.
  • No heels (flats and wedges only). Shoes must have a flat surface from toe to heel.
  • LBUSD Board Policy does allow for students to decorate their caps, however, you cannot have anything hanging off the cap other than your tassel.
  • All decorations must be flat and cannot be 3-dimensional
  • Arrival for students is 3:30pm at the large gym (do not be late!).

ATTENTION SENIORS

1. Class attendance is important and mandatory from here until you Graduate. You will not walk at graduation if you don’t pass your classes (No exceptions).

2. Any infractions or Disciplinary action while at school or during Cabrillo activities may lead to loss of senior activities and/or attending the graduation ceremony.

In order to protect the artificial turf, certain shoes are not allowed on the field or track at any time. As you are planning your graduation outfits, please note that students will only be allowed to wear shoes that meet the following guidelines (See pictures attached for reference).

1. All shoes must have a completely flat surface from toe to heel.

2. No heels of any kind are allowed - not even block heels.

Shoes will be checked upon entry at the large gym. Graduates who wear a heel of any kind will be required to wear flip flops (that will be provided) for the duration of the ceremony. Shoes can be retrieved at the large gym after the graduation ceremony.

FAQs

1. CAN I USE MY ANNUAL PASS OR EMPLOYEE ID TO GAIN ADMISSION TO GRAD BASH?

No. Grad Bash is a hard ticketed event that is sold separately. In order to attend Grad Bash you must purchase a Grad Bash Ticket.

HEALTH SERVICES (FIRST AID)

1. The Health Services Department will be fully staffed throughout the event. Universal Studios Hollywood™ has 2 first aid stations. The first is located on the Upper Lot next to Universal’s Animal Actors. The second location is between Jurassic Cafe and the Character Shop on the Lower Lot.

ARE THERE RESTRICTIONS ON PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION?

1. Any prescription medication must be in the original prescription container and only the dosage needed for the senior’s visit is allowed. The senior’s name must be printed on the label and a valid picture ID is required. Also, seniors may carry inhalers, EpiPens, insulin and other necessary medications, but proper prescription documentation is required.

WHAT KIND OF SECURITY WILL BE PRESENT?

1. All bags, pockets and other items are checked for any illegal substances and weapons. For everyone’s security, metal detectors are used to check guests at the event entrance. All questionable items will be confiscated at the gate. Security is visibly present throughout the park during the event.

Universal Studios Senior Grad Bash Dress Code

1. Universal Studios Hollywood's Grad Bash is a once-a-year school event requiring enforcement of a dress code to ensure proper dress/attire for students and chaperones. All outfits must remain intact for the entire Universal Studios Hollywood's Grad Bash event and any Pre or Post Parties. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with our dress code.

Code of Conduct

Welcome to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk ("Universal"). In order to ensure that your visit and that of your fellow guests is pleasant, we request that all visitors to Universal comply with the following Code of Conduct:

1. Do not physically or verbally threaten or harass any person. Fighting, use of physical force, obscene or sexually explicit language or gestures, or racial, religious or ethnic slurs, including any display on apparel or via body art likely to create a disturbance or a danger to other persons, are prohibited.

2. Do not possess any item that could be used as a weapon, including, but not limited to: firearms, explosives, fireworks, clubs or sticks over 1/4 inch in diameter, chemical dispensing devices, knives with blades over 2 inches in length, or any other object(s) that may be used in any way to inflict bodily injury on another person.

3. Do not yell, scream, sing, play musical instruments, radios, audio players or other sound amplification devices, or otherwise communicate in a manner which creates noise of sufficient volume to disturb the ambient noise level of Universal or impinge on the hearing or peace of other persons beyond a ten (10) foot radius.

4. Visitors must be fully clothed, including shoes and shirts. Visitors may not wear any covering that fully or partially obscures their face unless for religious or medical reasons. Clothing that Universal construes as indecent, exposes excessive portions of the skin, or that Universal views as inappropriate for a family environment is prohibited.

5. Do not run, skate, rollerblade, skateboard, ride a bicycle or scooter, or use wheeled shoes. Do not obstruct or interfere with the free flow of pedestrian traffic.

6. Do not discard litter of any kind except in designated trash receptacles. Rummaging through or removing items from the trash receptacles or coin fountains are prohibited. Spitting is prohibited. Urinating anywhere except at designated restrooms is prohibited.

7. Do not deface, damage or destroy any property belonging to Universal, its merchants or other persons.

8. Use or possession of any illegal substances or paraphernalia is prohibited. Smoking is not permitted during event.

9. No photographing or videotaping for commercial purposes without Universal's prior consent. No photographing or videotaping in a manner that is harassing or disruptive to Universal's merchants or other persons.

10. Do not solicit money or other contributions or donations, or sell admission tickets to CityWalk and/or Universal Studios Hollywood or Gibson Amphitheatre, or distribute commercial advertising or promotional material of any kind, or offer samples of items which are sold or available for sale.

11. Do not sit on handrails, stairs, escalators, trash receptacles or other areas not specifically designed for sitting. No occupied wheelchairs are allowed on escalators.

12. Do not bring any animals on to Universal's property with the exception of service animals providing assistance to disabled persons and/or in the company of persons claiming to be a trainer of a service animal.

13. Daytime curfews (Los Angeles Municipal Code 45.04) and nighttime curfews (Los Angeles Municipal Code 45.03, unless accompanied by an adult after 10:00 p.m.) will be enforced.

14. Line jumping where the use of a queuing system is employed is prohibited.

15. Coolers, food purchased off of the property, any container or vessel containing food or any container of beverages is not permitted in the park. Exceptions may be made in advance for medical, special dietary or religious reasons only (see medical form).

16. All bags, backpacks and purses are subject to inspection by Universal security without advance notice and should not be left unattended.

17. Do not violate any federal, state or local law or ordinance. Failure to comply with all posted rules, signs, warnings and policies is prohibited.

Violators of this Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the Universal's property and may be cited for trespass or violation of local, state or federal law and/or may be arrested by local law enforcement agencies.

*You Must also adhere to all Cabrillo and LBUSD policy. Any violations may result in a revocation of the ability to participate in senior activities and/or the 2019 graduation ceremony

If you said "No" to any of the above items, you won't:

  • Attend Prom
  • Attend Senior Picnic
  • Attend Grad Night
  • Graduate with a Diploma
  • Walk at Graduation.
