Transition partnership program (TPP)

Ms. Nelson also coordinates Cabrillo’s TPP Program. TPP is a federally-funded program that aims to support high school aged youth with disabilities or an IEP/504 plan in gaining pre-employment skills and training. Students must be at least 16 years old. 

Each high school has a cohort of 45 – 50 students.

TPP Provides:

  • One-on-one or small group instruction in career exploration, interviewing skills, self-advocacy and resume writing
  • An internship experience where students can earn up to $1300 for each placement
  • Free interview clothing
  • Post-secondary counseling including support with college and financial aid applications
  • Financial support for college, union dues, technology and more!
